Randy Vance

It seems that here of late there are so many bands that have a foundation which is based on a tragic life experience(s) driving the composer to write songs about the hate, anger, lost love, and frustrations. With No Rest for the Wicked founder Randy Vance you will find no less passion or emotion in his music. The difference is that he has chosen to relate to the audience life from the view point of a "collective experience", where it was and where it has arrived to, along with the elemental magnificence of the journey. He had a strong religious upbringing but it he says that it plays no part in his writing. He writes about life and not about the effects that the emotions of love have on our lives. All of his music is original and reflects the splendor of being alive.

Influences include: Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Johnny Cash. Wow, what an amazing mix of diversity.

Born in Missouri, he grew up in the town of Payson, AZ. He graduated from High School in 1997 and first realized his talent for writing music in 2001 when he wrote Hello Vain. He is a 2d generation lead singer as his father was the lead singer for the group A Week or 10 Days which opened for Van Halen during his west-coast tour in the 70's. He has had no contact with his father since then. His first professional performance was in Sept. 03 as an acoustic soloist at the famed Coffee Talk in Mesa, AZ. He chose the acoustic sound because of its raw, unchanged sound. "No effects, just pure talent are reflected when singing and playing with the acoustic. - Randy Vance 7/2005." Randy recorded his first CD I Jan. 04, and founded No Rest For The Wicked in Feb. 04; they release their first demo CD later that same year. He met percussionist Gabe in 2003 working as a sound engineer for a studio, and lead guitarist Matt in 2004 through some acquaintances.

Okay ladies, we know you are dying to know so here it is. He is single, never married, not engaged, and no significant other… yet. He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. Is a full time, hard working man with the hope that his entrepreneurial spirit will one day wean him from the chains of "the grind" as he would much rather be working for the fans. His efforts are paying off as NO REST FOR THE WICKED has quickly gained popularity and become a widely sought after group. Randy plans to change the face of music by continuing with his original sound and songs while holding on to the pure talent he has found in his band members.

Gabriel Arnn

Music has been an integral part Gabriel's life, around which he has built a firm foundation through education and dedication.

A self taught percussionist, he has been playing the Hand-Drums and Percussions for the past 12 years. From drum circles in the park he has taken on the challenge, in the last 2 years of developing himself into an accomplished Set-Percussionist. His drumming can be heard on CD's throughout the industry. He has played along side greats such as: Trigger Locks, Debbie Graham & The Full Band, the Global Funk Council along with others, and currently set-percussionist for No Rest For The Wicked (a quickly rising to the top band out of Phoenix). Look for their recent CD (Down In Flames) on which you can hear Gabe "pounding the skins".

The core of Gabriel's education and background is in Audio Engineering, and Recording Production; an industry in which he currently works. He resides in Phoenix and is a successful father of 2 beautiful children, a husband to his lovely wife, and master of 2 cats, and a big crazy dog.

Matt Candelaria

A.K.A. "Guitar Matt", he began playing the guitar only 3.5 years ago and has captured the attention of the music industry with his dazzling technical mastery of the instrument. He has been said to perform as good as any PhD in music. In addition, some PhD's in music, and professional musical industry giants, have likened him as being a talent that is extraordinary and unique that happens rarely in nature. A quote by one is that "Matt will probably be remembered as much as Paganinni, Bach, or Beethoven, and recognized as much as any rock music industry giant. He won't just go down in history; he will probably create his own". What an accomplishment for a person that only recently turned 18 years old.

Matt is a self taught and educated musician that has played and played to get it right. He is dedicated and practices and reads any and all material he can get his hands on. His playing is original and unique in that he makes up all his own licks. He is currently lead guitarist for "No Rest For The Wicked".

He resides in Mesa, Arizona and grew up on the beach in the Carolina's. That's right ladies, he is a born and bread Carolina beach man. He likes animals and hope to have his own ranch one day. He's an uncle, son, and grandson. He does volunteer work for St. Vincent De Paul and is involved in the community. His family roots are in Mesa and he is the 9th generation Candelaria to reside there. He is attending New School for the Arts and Academics and plans to continue on at Julliard or some other great school.
