The
House of DeAngelis is proud to present the second generation. William
and Merina DeAngelis first arrived on the jewelry scene in 1979. Now
they are introducing their daughter, Patricia Daughn.
Patricia has
grown up in and around the jewelry industry. Beginning in 1992,she
began apprenticing under her father's direction and quickly learned
how to design fine jewelry incorporating diamonds and precious stones
with hand made mountings. She continued on 47th Street until 1995
when she then tried her hand in the retail market as a department
coordinator in a well-known department store. However, her real
dream was to be able to design unique pieces and show other people
how beautiful diamonds and hand made jewelry could be.
In 1996 she
embarked upon a new career within the New York Unified Court System.
She continued to design and help her family after hours and for
the holidays yet she continued to feel the lure of diamonds and
fine jewelry. Finally, she could no longer ignore her heart.
In 2003, Patricia
entered the Gemological Institute of America to study diamonds in
their Graduate Diamonds course. In October 2003 she received her
GIA Diamonds Graduate degree. Using her new credentials, she has
joined her family on 47th Street as a loose diamond wholesaler and
continues to design fine diamond jewelry.
