About this
program:
The curriculum includes simple, effective and practical self-defense
techniques against a variety of situations such as: physical assault,
mugging, robbery, or just a simple nuisance. Students will be taught
how to apply common self-defense strategies to situations that can
develop in the street, business, car, home, or anywhere that self-defense
may be necessary.
Students will
learn how to utilize an attacker's strength, momentum, and movements
against him. In addition, they will learn how to attack vital areas
and pressure points. Each lesson is designed to be a self-contained
course. The techniques taught will be kept simple to ensure easy
application and retention. At the completion of each lesson, you
will be able to apply what you have learned.

only great for fitness, but its fun too! Boxing improves; cardiovascular
endurance, strength endurance, balance, reaction time, agility,

Jiu-Jitsu
The ancient Japanese "Art of Gentleness", Jiu-Jitsu is
believed to date back over 2000 years and was the art of the Samurai.
Jiu-Jitsu continues to be practiced today and has withstood the
test of time. Jiu-Jitsu techniques are based on leverage, which
allow a smaller individual to control or defend against a greater
adversary. Jiu-Jitsu also includes grappling skills and ground fighting
defenses which are mandatory when combatants enter into close range.

About the
instructor:
Brett Cohen earned a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu. He began his training
in 1986 and has a diverse background in the martial arts from studying
different styles with many notable instructors.
